I got this sketchbook that has perfect paper for my great fountain pen.
I decided to try and draw only in ink in that book. Don’t know if it’s going to last, we’ll see I guess.
It’s a good exercise : you have to live with the first draft. I have to stop and think before I put pencil (pen in this case) to paper, not something I do naturally.
This is an ink wash.
Something I’ve been meaning to work on, but don’t do as much as I would like to.
I had that picture of a caravan in my mind the moment I saw the Caravan Palace show. And if I don’t put those images on paper, they just keep popping back, until I do.
Now I can move on.
Terrifying.
I didn’t color the one that’s in color, my girlfriend did. She’s actually responsible for the monsters.
She asked for monster illustrations that would be used for cushions in the living room.
I tried to push the Godzilla but it didn’t work. The Ghidorah wasn’t popular either.

It was meant to be used as an ink wash, but I never got around doing it.

A donkey with teeth problems.
The donkey’s named Caboche and has a story about a broken tooth to tell kids.
Those were done for a flyer that will be handed out at some dentist offices.
That’s Fönz, the dancing monster that lives in my closet colored with ink.

Well, some of it. I did this on the way back from the Jazz Fest. That band really was one of my favorite shows this year. It was a 12 piece band.
On the doodle you can only see the tuba player, the baritone saxophone player, the accordion player, one of the 2 percussionists and one of the 3 trombone players.
