Those are some ideas for a character in the K’s new Stars Wars RPG game.
They are not what will be used for the game though.

The one with the big head is a Toong, the one with floppy ears is an Ortolan and the other is a Bith.

Those I do a lot. Face expressions for the comic strip characters. I said do, no necessarily master. Some are quite good (Ow ! Here I go breaking my arm patting myself on the back), but the problem is recreating them in the comic strip context. That, never seems to quite work.

Drawing the same characters over and over again helps me keep their proportions and shape when using them in the strip. It helps, but doesn’t work all the time.

As I said : do, not necessarily master.

I did those because I needed a Captain Nemo picture for school. I tried to give him a nice grandpa look. I really did. That is what the process looked like from start to finish.

Also, there are a few monkeys. As there should always be.

Those faces are supposed to be Captain Malcolm Reynolds (and there are a few Wash in there too) from Firefly, and of course Serenity. I was going to make myself a t-shirt with the character and a funny quote from the show.

One more project that is incomplete.
