The Stuntman.

Some years ago, I thought about making a comic strip. I wanted to do it in pantomime, meaning a wordless comic. When wondering about what it could be about, I came up with the idea of a stuntman continually getting hurt. Then, I realized how tremendously difficult it would be and forgot all about it.
Anyway, it all came back to haunt me when I doodled this character and started hurting with him.
Some more ink washes.

Well, the title pretty much sums it up.
Hmmm, I really have to work on a happy girl look.
GOT SKILLS ?

Trying to draw girls, part… uh., III. I think.

Yup, I’m at it again. For some reason I want to draw pretty girls and always end up not really liking the result. I suppose if I waste enough paper I’ll succeed, someday. Well, they’re not that bad. Gotta work on proportions, though.
Anyways, those I did as practice before trying to use ink wash.
GRATEFULNESS

THE GOURMET

Ink wash test number 3.

Another ink wash test. Have to work on my brush strokes so as to leave lesser marks.
And some anatomy principals wouldn’t hurt either.
-sigh-
Wash test number 1.

This is an ink wash technique. Basically, it’s mixing water with ink to get different shades of gray.
It’s applied with a brush, and that’s where all the challenge is. Brushes and I don’t see eye to eye.
There’s a test number 2 that you will not see because I messed it up pretty bad. I like to think it is due to the paper I used, but it is mostly due to the fact I have no idea what I’m doing.
The next test will have a background behind the character, which (I believe) shows the point of using washes. I could be wrong, though. It’s been known to happen.
ONCE AGAIN

Happy New Year !
