I’m practicing my female drawing. I just can’t seem to get it right.
Anyway, that’s a jazz singer as I can render it. She is singing “Stormy Weather”.
Can’t you hear it?

Listening to a Fred Astaire cd made me think his movies with Ginger Rogers. And simply put, they are poetry in motion. Especially when I think of the Never Gonna Dance number in Swing Time.

That’s Logan. Wolverine without the costume. I feel nowadays he looks way too cool in the comic books and that particular character has nothing to do with looking fashionably cool.

Oh yeah, I know the head is too big, but I can’t draw real looking people. Even when I try really hard, they still look funny. So I kind of stopped.

Moon Knight, the Fist of Konshu. A Marvel super hero that is a lame Batman rip-off. I don’t know why, but I just love the character.

I was listening to the Flying Neutrinos, and Ingrid Lucia‘s voice made me think of that drawing. Well, not exactly of the drawing itself; it was more an image I tried to draw.

Sorry but the mental image I had looked a lot better than the drawing.
The hairdo is from a picture of her, though. That I can draw, kind of.

Wolverine, running toward the viewer. Now, the inspiration came from a Bob Kane drawing of Batman running I saw some time ago. Also, there is something from an interview with a comic book artist talking about that (or a similar) illustration. He was saying that at a younger age he copied the Batman drawing as a kid, with the bent leg to simulate the action of running. He also said that everybody asked him why the character was missing a leg.

And you know what ?

Most people ask me the same.
And they actually feel like they are the first to “notice” the “mistake”.

Those I originally drew for the Bunny Man himself. I never got around inking them and just found them again recently. Anyway, the Bunny Man is becoming more of a Puppy Man.
Sad really.

It’s was so much fun I almost blacked out.
